Bud, Not Buddy: Conflict Analysis

After his mother's death, not knowing his father and is everything in between Bud is in coconstant battle with himself. At ten years of age Bud is faced with a bunch of adult decisions, one of the reasons I think Bud's conflict is a character vs. self conflict.

When Bud leaves the Amoses he is faced with many decisions such as how will he be Fed? Where will he live?  How will he make money?Bud shouldn't be faced with these decisions, considering his age and knowledge. Bud also has to make the quick decision, weather of not he will stay in Flint or move to Chicago.

Another conflict Bud had, and resolved with himself was weather or not he should continue searching for his father. Though Bud has never met him or even seen him, Bud is determined to find his father. It was a tough decision that resolved in a big amount of conflict with himself, but in the end Bud decided to look for his father in Flint.

Knowing that Bud has been going through making adult decisions such as things like food, shelter, money and good place to live it is obvious that Bud is going through alot of self conflict. Though I think Bud goes through alot of problems with self conflict a good thing about him is he is able to resolve them and have a good outcome for himself.
